ASSA dp cylinder gains export market share
ASSA, together with ASSA ABLOY Baltic, recently won a contract to install a master key system featuring about 3,000 ASSA dp cylinders and 9,000 keys for Gazprom in Moscow, Russia.
The deal is an example of how ASSA’s dp high-security cylinder is gaining market share throughout the ASSA export market. Gazprom – one of the world’s largest energy companies – chose the ASSA dp platform for its great performance and the extremely high combination output that is needed on a complex master key system of this size.
One of the most important factors for Gazprom was that each key in the system is unique and the combination is never allowed to be repeated any other master key system in the world.
ASSA dp series is a high-security cylinder which is protected by national and international patents against the illegal copying of keys and unique cylinder components. The series has been recommended for all types of mechanical locking system and is protected by double blocking mechanisms, which function independently for protection against physical attack, picking and manipulation.
CLIQ technology can also be added to any cylinder shape to provide a higher level of flexibility and security where required, for instance perimeter protection and other important areas where the security requirements are higher.
Gazprom’s major business lines are geological exploration, production, transportation, storage, processing and marketing of hydrocarbons as well as heat and eletric power generation and marketing.
