Recycled scrap metal means low-energy production

Big industries create huge amounts of waste. At ASSA we sort our waste into 37 fractions, eight of which are scrap metal that are then sorted an additional time.

We also extract dangerous waste, flammables, wood, paper/cardboard, plastic, glass, electronic waste, lighting, spray and paint cans, various filters and fractions associated with surface treatment.
Many of the materials we use can be recycled. In actual fact, scrap-based steel and aluminum production are four to twenty times more efficient respectively than ore-based production.

Every kilogram of hard plastic we recycle saves a liter of oil, and every ton of paper we collect spares fourteen trees.
