Recycling cylinders all over Sweden

Return old lock cylinders – and win a trip. That is ASSA’s challenge to almost 360 licensed distributors. “But the two real winners are security and the environment,” says Torbjörn Andrén, sales manager at Affärspartner.

The campaign kicked off during the spring, and several distributors have already registered to replace ASSA locking systems from the 500, 700, Twin 6000 and Twin Combi Generation 1 series.
The first two series were installed in the late 1940s and early 1950s, so it’s high time to replace them, according to Torbjörn Andrén.

Distributor Håkan Olsson, who works at Lås-Aktuellt in Malmö, agrees:

“We've registered for the campaign and will replace cylinders in at least one building. The locks are starting to get worn and should be replaced.”

If the old cylinders are sent to ASSA, ASSA will ensure that they are properly recycled. But that isn’t necessary in the case of Lås-Aktuellt:

“We’re certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, so we are on top of issues related to recycling and the environment. We take care of recycling the cylinders on our own. “

The campaign will continue throughout 2010.

“The distributor that replaces and recycles the most cylinders will win a gift certificate for a trip worth SEK 15,000,” says Torbjörn Andrén. “We will award the gift cards twice during the year.“
