Safe and secure condos with ReKey

One of Sweden’s largest housing cooperative, Bosvedjan in Sundsvall, is currently installing ASSA ReKey in its 1,033 apartments. The new cylinders remove the insecurity associated with lost keys.

Blocked mechanically

If a tenant or a tradesman should lose a key, we can quickly restore security. A new key is made, and as soon as it is turned in the cylinder the lost key is blocked mechanically. ASSA ReKey makes life simpler and safer at the condo community.
“This new system has worked fantastically,” says Henrik Bufvers, administrator at HSB Mitt, responsible for the Bosvedjan housing cooperative.

Old system replaced

The 51 three storey buildings were built between 1965 and 1969 and are spread in a fan-shaped arrangement facing south. About 2,500 people of every description live here, many in single-occupancy dwellings. When two of the cooperative’s lock systems began to be obsolete, the decision was taken to switch to ReKey. In time the third lock system at Bosvedjan will also be replaced.

Changing authorization

Many tradesmen and local businesses need access to different parts of the Bosvedjan buildings. With the ReKey system, if anything happens to the master key it doesn’t spell disaster. It’s possible to change the authorization so that the old master key becomes unusable for access to homes. This is a great advantage and can save large sums of money.
