Industry

Security requirements in industry vary depending on the type of business activities, the size of the facility and how many buildings it has.

A traditional manufacturing industry often has large, open facilities, several entrances and delivery doors, and staff working in shifts around the clock. This kind of company has a great need for secure, yet flexible perimeter protection that does not inhibit the activities.

Control entry

An industry that conducts research and development in-house has extra high need for security against intruders. You also need to be able to control authorization levels for the employees.
Often a sophisticated access control system is needed in addition to the regular locking system. Moreover, the property owner is also responsible for fire safety and evacuation.

Combine offline and online

The ASSA dp CLIQ lock system offers offline and online locking using an electronic ID in many different types of cylinders, padlocks, locker locks, doors and gates. Offline mounting requires no wiring, because the power supply is contained in the key or the reader. It’s easy to block a lost code bearer using a programming key or handheld terminal.
With online installation, the cylinder/reader is connected to a substation and can be controlled centrally over the internet, GSM or a standard phone line. The substation sends information in real time on arrivals and departures, temperatures, humidity, etc. The system administrator can easily manage user groups and issue temporary code bearers to visitors or employees.

Key or card – or maybe both?

Depending on how you put together your security solution, you can choose to use keys or keycards as code bearers. One advantage of electromechanical keys is that they can be integrated into a mechanical locking system and can be applied to portable objects that need to be secured (lockers, luggage, carts, etc).
The advantage of using a keycard as your code bearer is that it can serve as an ID card and also be used in other systems. Employees can use their cards to pay for lunch, automatically open doors, log into the computer network, and so on.
